I cleaned the kitchen again... and again... and again. No wonder the rest of the house is always a mess, I never get past cleaning the kitchen. There must be evil little gremlins that come out and make more mess so that the room never really gets clean. Poof... there is more mess as I blinked. I don't like cooking anyway. Why not just build a house without a kitchen and then we just go out and eat or order in each meal. Works for me!
It is Saturday. My husband and his father are working on the basement. I love the concept of a finished basement so that all the toys can go down there... but the process is driving me nuts. Every weekend they are down there which means my "weekly job" has become a seven day a week job. Would love to be down there building on that basement instead.
Bright side... I did do some "good mom" things this week. Gotta latch on those. They got to play in my daughters new water table in the kitchen after I covered the floor with plastic tarp. Yes, they were soaked... socks, pajamas and all. But they seemed to really have a good time. I also made my daughters "duck" birthday a big treat with a 3-D Duck cake that I made myself and even iced with little yellow icing stars that I did myself. The duck sat in a bowl filled with blue chocolate covered oreos so it looked like bubbles and water. So with 100 rubber ducks spread out as decorations, party favors, etc. Duck balloons, duck towels, duck pond, it was a ducky time. Happy moment for mom and Little Baby Girl. Score one moment in time.
Still trying to figure the rest out. Kids will nap now and I will work on my YTB business. Maybe that will help get me out of this funk. Maybe not. Watching "Medium" will though as I work. Gotta love the mindlessness of watching TV!
